D-Dimer
D-Dimer is a fibrin degradation product released when blood clots are broken down. Elevated D-Dimer indicates that clot formation and breakdown (fibrinolysis) is occurring, but it is not specific to any particular condition. It is most commonly used to help rule out venous thromboembolism (DVT/PE).
DAO (Diamine Oxidase)
DAO activity can be influenced by hormonal fluctuations, and some women notice that histamine-related symptoms worsen around menstruation or during perimenopause. Testing DAO helps clarify whether histamine intolerance may be contributing to cyclical symptoms.
DHEA-S

ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)
Your ESR shows how quickly red blood cells settle in an upright tube. After one hour the lab checks how much clear plasma has formed at the top. At rest those cells drift down slowly. Inflammation raises certain proteins in the blood. Those proteins make the cells clump, and the red cells then fall faster. On your result this is often called ESR or BSE. Endomysium IgA
Endomysium IgA is a highly specific confirmatory test for coeliac disease. For women, undiagnosed coeliac disease can contribute to iron deficiency, fertility challenges, and bone loss — making accurate diagnosis particularly important.
Eosinophils

Erythrocytes (RBC)
An erythrocyte (red blood cell) count measures the number of red blood cells in your blood. Red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body and transporting carbon dioxide back for exhalation.
Estradiol (E2)

Estrone (E1)

Ferritin
Your ferritin level shows how large your iron store is, and in every menstruating life stage that store is under pressure. Iron is lost with every cycle, and with heavy menstrual bleeding the loss exceeds what diet can replace. Heavy bleeding is the most common cause of iron deficiency in women under fifty. In pregnancy the requirement rises sharply and ferritin falls physiologically in the second and third trimesters. After the menopause the monthly loss disappears and your store shifts towards the male level. One reference figure therefore cannot fit all of those stages at once.
Folate (Folic Acid)
Folate measures vitamin B9 in your blood, a nutrient considered especially important for women's health. Adequate folate may support hormonal balance, reproductive health, and healthy cell division throughout all life stages.
