After you order, we arrange your referral through ZorgDomein. Allow one business day. Orders placed in the evening or at the weekend start on the next business day. The ZorgDomein email carries a barcode, and that barcode is what you show on your phone at the draw site. Your order confirmation is not a referral. The sites are run by independent, certified partner laboratories. Some take walk-ins and others work by appointment; the location page tells you which.

Why you do not need a referral for a blood test in the Netherlands
In the Dutch system your huisarts, the GP, decides which blood tests are ordered. Tests the GP orders are usually covered by your basic insurance. Without a GP, or without a Dutch-speaking consultation, routine testing is hard to arrange. A private blood test works the other way round. You decide what you want to know.
